Apple’s Safari Browser May Let You Erase Ads Completely
Apple’s Safari browser may soon offer a new feature that could make some people very happy: the ability to block all ads completely. The feature is currently available in the beta version of Safari Technology Preview 33, a pre-release version intended for developers. If this feature becomes standard in future versions of Safari, it would allow users to block all ads, including those that use tracking technologies to target users.
The feature, called the “Safari Reader” will be able to automatically identify ad elements on a webpage and hide them completely, leaving only the main content visible. This can result in a cleaner and less distracting browsing experience for users. Additionally, a side benefit of this feature is that it may also help users reduce data usage by preventing ads from loading and potentially slowing down web pages.
Apple has not yet officially announced whether this feature will be included in the final release of Safari, but it could be a major selling point for users who want a more ad-free browsing experience.
